Description

We are seeking an Associate Attorney (1 – 3 years’ experience) with some background or a strong interest in land use, zoning, and municipal law to join our Municipal Practice Group in the Blue Bell office. This role offers a collaborative environment where you will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients across Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania.
Duties:
- Handle or assist with legal matters related to comprehensive planning, land use, zoning, and code enforcement.
- Attend municipal meetings, zoning hearing board hearings, and code enforcement proceedings, including evening meetings.
- Handle day-to-day transactional matters such as contract review, ordinance and resolution drafting as well as labor and employment issues.
- Significant direct client interaction.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on planning, zoning, and property rights issues, interpreting statutes, judicial rulings, and regulatory codes.
- In-depth research and drafting of briefs for land use appeals.
Requirements:
- Ability to independently give clear, concise, and practical guidance in a timely manner.
- Commitment to client service.
- Strong follow-through skills are crucial.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Strong writing, research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
- Proficiency with legal office software, document management and billing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited school.
- Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
