The Department of Anesthesiology at USA Health is seeking an outstanding physician leader to serve as the founding Residency Program Director for our new Anesthesiology Residency Program as we pursue ACGME accreditation. In addition to the Program Director position, we are actively recruiting Board Certified/Board Eligible General Anesthesiologists and fellowship-trained subspecialists to support our expanding clinical services, increasing surgical volume, and continued academic growth. Base salary beginning at $540,000
$75,000 Sign-On Bonus
$20,000 annual fellowship stipend for eligible subspecialists maintaining board certification

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
MD or DO degree
Board Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOBA).
Eligibility for Alabama medical licensure
Residency Program Director candidates should also possess:
Current certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOBA).
Active participation in MOCA 2.0 with continuous maintenance of certification.
A minimum of three (3) years of documented educational and/or administrative leadership experience acceptable to the ACGME Review Committee.
Demonstrated scholarly activity, including publications, curriculum development, educational innovation, quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, or other academic contributions.
Preferred candidates will have served in a formal Graduate Medical Education (GME) administrative leadership role as a Program Director or Associate Program Director. Experience should include curriculum development, resident recruitment and selection, ACGME Common Program Requirements, resident evaluation processes, Milestone documentation, Clinical Competency Committee participation, Annual Program Evaluation, and the institutional reporting processes that support residency program accreditation.
Candidates with significant GME experience who have not previously served in a formal leadership role are encouraged to apply. Physicians with demonstrated leadership potential and a strong commitment to graduate medical education will be considered, recognizing that transitioning into a founding Program Director role requires significant administrative responsibility and institutional support.
