The Radchenko Law Group is a Plano-based family law firm serving families across North Texas — Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties. What sets this role apart is how we practice. Most family law is practiced defensively: settle early, avoid the courtroom, manage the file. We don't. We are a litigation-first family law practice that prepares every matter as if it is going to trial, and we advocate hard for our clients when it counts. That approach means the attorney who joins us will actually try cases, stand up in court, and develop into a genuine family law litigator — not sit behind a desk shuffling paper.
We handle divorce, child custody and conservatorship (SAPCR), modifications, enforcement, and related family law matters. Our clients come to us at some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we meet them with both aggressive advocacy and real compassion. Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for the following. This list is representative and not exhaustive; duties may be adjusted as the needs of the firm and its clients require.
Case management and litigation. Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution, developing case strategy and driving each file toward trial or favorable resolution.
Drafting and pleadings. Prepare petitions, motions, responses, proposed orders, and other pleadings in divorce, custody, modification, and enforcement matters.
Court appearances. Appear at hearings, temporary orders proceedings, prove-ups, and trials in Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant County courts.
Discovery. Draft and respond to written discovery, prepare for and take depositions, and manage document production and review.
Client counseling. Conduct client intake, counsel clients through high-stakes decisions, and keep clients informed and supported throughout their matters.
Negotiation and mediation. Represent clients in settlement negotiations and mediation, advocating for their interests while advising realistically on outcomes.
Legal research. Research and stay current on the Texas Family Code, case law, and local rules and procedures across the firm's counties.
Physical and scheduling requirements. The role requires courthouse travel across North Texas and availability for extended hours during trial and hearing settings.
Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
Active Texas law license in good standing
A genuine desire to take cases to trial and advocate zealously for clients
The ability to handle people in crisis with steadiness and sound judgment
Empathy and compassion for clients navigating difficult family circumstances
Preferred:
Prior family law experience
Trial or courtroom experience
Strong legal writing and drafting skills
