Description
Carson Tahoe Radiation Oncology Associates is an independent Radiation Oncology private practice that has been serving the radiation oncology needs of the Northern Nevada area for over 35 years. We are part of the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center, an affiliate of the University of Utah. We are seeing a dynamic, board-certified/board-eligible radiation oncologist to practice Radiation Oncology, either part or full-time, at our center in Carson City, just 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe, in either a partnership track or employed position.
About the Practice:
We are a community practice with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator with 6-DoF couch, Siemens CT scanner with 4D respiratory motion simulation capability. We utilize Aria and Eclipse for treatment planning, MIM for fusions/ contouring/ adaptive planning. We also use RadFormation products- ClearCheck/ClearCalc/EZ Fluenze. Treatments include 3D, DIBH, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT. You will join 1 radiation oncologist , five radiation therapists, two dosimetrists, two medical assistants, and one medical physicist.
Our clinic is located inside the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center, where we work closely with 3 medical oncologists, and receive full support services from the Cancer Resource Center with its 2 full-time Nurse Navigators, Dietician, Social Services.
Work Schedule: 4 days a week. The clinic is open Monday through Friday; 7:00am – 4:00pm, typically 30-35 patients on treatment

Requirements
-Board certification/board eligible as a radiation oncologist.
-Unrestricted Federal DEA number
-Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare/ Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental health care programs.
-Extensive knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and techniques.
-Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a team and referring physicians
-Compassionate and empathetic personality.
-Ability to obtain NV Medical License
